James Freund attended Mount
Vernon Bible College where he met and married Ruth. |
| Assisting
Pastor Dave and Gayle met in San Jose, California where they were both
active in the Navigator Ministry. In 1975, they were married and joined
Wycliffe Bible Translators. On July 4, 1976, they left for the Philippines
to teach missionary's children at Faith Academy. God blessed them with two
special children, Christy Anne and Joel Michael. The Lord led them to resign
from Faith Academy in 1999 after 23 years of service. In 2000 Dave and Gayle resigned from Wycliffe Bible Translators and began serving as part of the Genoa Foursquare Church. They feel blessed to be here and are excited about what God is doing in the lives of people in this community. |

During school, Chris served in the children's department at the Roanoke, Virginia Foursquare Church for three years. After graduation, he went on staff at that church as Assistant Children's Pastor for over a year and a half. Tim came to Genoa in 1995 following his graduation from L.I.F.E. Bible College East. He grew up in New Castle, Indiana. He served as Youth Pastor here in Genoa for 13 years until he felt led by he Lord to start working with younger students. So in late 2008 he and his wife began J12 (which stands for Jesus at 12), a ministry specifically aimed at meeting the needs of "tweens" (students ages 8-12). Tim also works at Kingston Elementary where he works with special needs students. He also enjoys working with high school and community theatre groups. During the summer, Tim and his wife Mendy direct a Kids' Camp for the Northern Illinois and Chicago Metro Districts of Foursquare churches. |
